Steve Jobs published on Tuesday not only the new iMac and the new Software. He also presented the new Mac mini. Here some tech spechs:
- 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- Apple Remote with Front Row
- Up to 2GB memory
- Intel GMA 950 graphics processor
- DVI connector, VGA adapter
- Slot-loading optical drive
- Up to 160GB hard drive
- Built-in Gigabit Ethernet
- Analog and digital audio
- Expansion via USB and FireWire
- iLife ’08, Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger
The Mac mini is very compact and the new, improved version is 39 % faster than the old was. There are two models, one with 1.83 GHz for 599 $, and one with 2.0 GHz for 799 $. On this table you see the diffrences between the two models:
Of course the Mac mini is not as good as an usual Mac or MacBook, but for people who like to have a mobile, compact Mac, do the right choice with the Mac mini, that’s my opinion so far. But if you want to play a game with a high graphic requirement, you should buy a Mac or a MacBook Pro. I should mention that if you buy the new Mac mini you will also get the new “iLife ‘08″ that is just available since Tuesday, 7.8.07.
